S Track vs L Track vs SL Track vs Max Track: Which is Best for You?
A massage-chair track describes the route followed by the back massage mechanism. S, L and SL labels describe coverage or contour; they do not tell you the pressure, comfort, reclining position or price of the complete chair. OHCO’s MaxTrack is a brand-specific design, so compare its documented operation rather than treating it as a universal fourth grade.
| Track label | What it describes | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| S-track | A back path commonly curved along the spine, ending around the lower back | Upper and lower back contact on your body |
| L-track | A path extending from the back into the seat | Where the rollers stop and whether seat contact is comfortable |
| SL-track | A contoured back path with a seat extension | Actual coverage, recline and usable adjustments on the exact model |
| OHCO MaxTrack | OHCO’s named track system; M.8 NEO specifications list a 49-inch path | How roller travel and recline work together during a fitting |
Track, roller motion and recline are separate
Track coverage and 3D/4D/5D terminology answer different questions. A long path does not guarantee comfortable roller placement. A track label also does not establish zero-gravity positioning: the MAN1 distributor lists an SL-track and no zero-gravity feature. Confirm each feature separately.
How to compare coverage in the showroom
Let the scan finish, choose a comfortable setting and check shoulder, lower-back and seat contact. Try manual position controls. Repeat in a reclined position and note where contact changes. For a shared chair, test both users rather than borrowing another person’s fit result.
Ask the team to show the manufacturer’s track diagram and current manual. Measure the full reclined footprint and delivery route separately; track length is not the chair’s room depth.
Common questions
Is SL always better than S?
A seat extension provides different coverage, but the better choice depends on comfortable contact and the programs you want. Try the exact chairs.
Does a track type determine price or zero gravity?
No. Check the complete model specification and current store price.
Is MaxTrack the same specification on every OHCO chair?
Use the current model’s documentation. This guide’s 49-inch example belongs to M.8 NEO and should not be copied to another model.
