L-Track, S-Track, and OHCO MAX TRACK - Explained

Understanding massage mechanisms will provide clarity when choosing the best massage chair.

The ‘L’ track and the ‘S’ track represent common massage mechanism types offered by the massage chair industry. Understanding the defining characteristics of each of these mechanisms will help with understanding an interesting product that many may not know is available.

The ‘zero gravity’ posture is well suited for enhancing comfort and relieving pressure along the spine.

The long track provides extensive massage roller coverage on the body.

Many ‘L’ track chairs have a ‘stretch’ program where the massage chair will lower the legs (knees to feet) downwards from the knee joint. The ‘L’ track stretch does a great job stretching along the quadriceps to the calves.

Similar to the ‘L’ track mechanism the ‘S’ track mechanism stretches the legs. The ‘S’ track mechanism straightens the waist and provides a more comprehensive full body stretch that is able to reach the hip flexors and even into the abdomen.

The different benefits provided by the ‘L’ track vs the ’S’ track poses a common dilemma for many customers.

The ‘S’ track has the ability to provide a more comprehensive stretch.

The ‘S’ track mechanism extends from the neck down to the hip. The track curves and follows the general shape of a human back.

A typical ‘S’ track chair will employ a hinge where the back and seat join. The hinge allows the chair’s back to seat angle to vary. As a result the chair can produce almost a ‘lay flat’ posture when the chair is reclined.

Sooo… - do I pick an ‘L’ track chair or an ‘S’ track chair?

Additionally, the MAX TRACK mechanism also adds a hinge similar to the ‘S’ track mechanism, allowing the back to seat angle to increase to a ‘lay flat’ posture. This allows the MAX TRACK mechanism to provide the superior comprehensive full body ‘stretch’ associated with the ’S’ track.
