HEALING TOUCH · MATTRESS COMPARISONS

Tempur-Pedic or Aireloom? Start with the feel you prefer, then compare construction, price and ownership terms.

Tempur-Pedic and Aireloom take different approaches to mattress construction. Tempur-Pedic centers its range on TEMPUR materials, with foam and hybrid options. The Aireloom Preferred models listed at Healing Touch combine wrapped support coils, latex, fibers and foams, with added microcoils in M1 and M2.

Our shopping interpretation is to test Tempur-Pedic if contouring is central to your shortlist, and Aireloom if you want to explore a layered, spring-supported feel. Try both before deciding. Neither brand name establishes the right firmness or comfort for your body.

Construction comparison: materials and support

Tempur-Pedic: foam and hybrid choices

Foam versions use a different support construction from Medium Hybrid versions, which add springs. Within the same brand, Adapt, ProAdapt and LuxeAdapt also change the comfort/support package. LuxeAdapt’s five-zone layer applies to Soft and Firm rather than every feel. Use our Tempur-Pedic model comparison to narrow these choices.

Aireloom: layered comfort over support coils

Our three Preferred choices are Streamline Luxury Firm, Luxetop M1 Firm and Luxetop M2 Luxury Firm. Streamline’s published build has no microcoil layer; M1 has one and M2 has two. All three include a main wrapped support-coil system. Our Aireloom model comparison separates these layers and the available feels.

A taller mattress or a higher coil count does not prove a better fit. Test the whole construction, including the surface, support, edge and foundation. “Firm” and “Medium” are brand/model labels rather than a universal scale.

Pressure, movement and couples: what should you compare?

Lie in your usual position long enough to judge shoulder and hip comfort. Then change position, sit at the edge and have your partner turn beside you. Note whether the cushioning lets you settle comfortably and whether turning feels easy enough for your routine.

If partner disturbance is your priority, compare the exact foam and hybrid models rather than declaring one entire brand the winner. If you value a more responsive surface, compare an Aireloom with a Tempur-Pedic Medium Hybrid as well as a foam option. These are showroom test suggestions, not measured performance rankings.

For partners with different feel preferences, discuss the appropriate split configuration. Independent head-and-foot movement requires the corresponding split mattress and base setup; a one-piece mattress cannot provide two independently moving sleep surfaces.

Cooling comparison

Within Tempur-Pedic, ProBreeze and LuxeBreeze add cooling-related materials, while ActiveBreeze uses powered airflow and warming through its matching base. Aireloom’s compared Preferred models use temperature-related fabric, fibers and comfort layers. Natural fibers and cooling foam are different design choices from a powered climate system.

Compare the mattress with the protector and bedding you intend to use. A cooling cover can feel different under a thick pad, and room conditions matter. Ask for a complete demonstration of ActiveBreeze if individual climate controls are a priority.

Adjustable-base options and total bed height

Both shortlists have adjustable-base options. Standard Tempur-Pedic models can be paired with the brand’s power bases, while the three Aireloom model listings specify adjustable-base friendliness. Confirm the exact mattress/base pairing with Healing Touch rather than assuming every base works with every model.

ActiveBreeze’s matching ProSmart Air base is part of its complete system. For ordinary mattress purchases, a base is separate unless the written offer includes it. Check total bed height: Aireloom’s listed 15.5-inch profile adds more mattress height than the 11–13-inch Tempur-Pedic choices. Your frame and base determine the final entry height.

Price range: compare the same size and complete setup

The standard Tempur-Pedic Queen mattresses listed here range from $2,199 to $5,699. The three Aireloom Queens range from $3,990 to $5,899. Tempur-Pedic therefore has the lower starting Queen price in this shortlist, but the ranges overlap.

Queen ProBreeze is listed at $4,399, compared with $3,990 for Aireloom Streamline Luxury Firm. Queen LuxeAdapt is $4,699 versus $4,899 for M1 Firm. Those prices make useful fitting pairs, although the feel labels and construction differ.

ActiveBreeze Queen is $10,398 with its matching base. Comparing that system price with a mattress-only price overstates the like-for-like difference. Request a quote that identifies the mattress, base, accessories, delivery and applicable tax.

Warranty and return-policy differences

Tempur-Pedic offers a 10-year limited mattress warranty on qualifying new U.S. purchases. Aireloom’s compared product pages advertise 10 years; its written law-tag code determines the applicable term and impression threshold. Adjustable bases have their own warranties. Ask for the documents covering every component of your order.

Comfort returns differ at Healing Touch. The posted policy permits Tempur-Pedic return requests within 90 days after the initial 30-night adjustment period, with conditions and return shipping costs. Aireloom is listed as made to order and non-returnable. Read the current policy and your written order before buying.

Frequently asked questions

Which is better: Tempur-Pedic or Aireloom?

There is no universal winner. Compare your preferred feel, support construction, movement, temperature priorities, base setup and order terms. The same person may prefer one model from each brand over other models within that brand.

Does Aireloom contain memory foam?

The three compared Preferred specifications include cooling-enriched visco foam alongside latex, fibers, other foams and coils. Aireloom is not simply a foam-free alternative.

Are all Tempur-Pedic mattresses all-foam?

No. Medium Hybrid versions contain springs. The exact model and selected feel identify the construction.

Which brand is better for a side sleeper?

Test shoulder and hip cushioning while checking that your midsection feels supported. Try more than one feel. A brand-wide recommendation cannot account for your build, preferences and chosen model.

Which sleeps cooler?

Compare the exact models and your bedding setup. Breeze uses dedicated cooling materials, ActiveBreeze uses powered airflow, and the named Aireloom models use temperature-related fabrics and layers. We do not have matched laboratory results that establish a universal winner.

Can I use my existing adjustable base?

Possibly, subject to the exact mattress/base pairing, size and support requirements. ActiveBreeze needs its matching Air system for airflow functionality. Bring your current base’s model information to the showroom.

Which is easier to maintain?

Care routines differ. Standard Tempur-Pedic mattresses do not require rotation and should not be flipped. Aireloom’s supplied guidance calls for head-to-foot rotation. Follow the instructions for your exact mattress and cover.

Does a 10-year warranty mean the mattress will stay comfortable for 10 years?

No. Defect coverage is separate from your comfort preferences, normal wear and replacement timing. Proper support and care are part of the warranty conditions.

Compare mattresses at Healing Touch in Plano

Healing Touch serves Plano and Dallas–Fort Worth. Arrange a mattress fitting and ask which models, feels and adjustable bases are available to try. Bring your bed-frame measurements, preferred mattress size, sleeping positions and your partner’s preferences.

Spend time in your usual sleep positions, turn from side to side, and sit at the edge. If you plan to use an adjustable base, test the mattress raised as well as flat. A familiar brand name or a higher price cannot settle these comfort decisions for you.
