Treat that premium as a list of features to evaluate. Write down which differences you would use regularly, then ask to see those functions during a demonstration. A feature has more value when it solves a practical preference or room-planning problem for you.

1. Compare the customization process

Both chairs already use Panasonic’s 5D A.I. platform. MAN2’s listing specifically describes an eight-muscle-group tension-sensing program that recommends a session and adapts the massage. MAN1 also has sensor-guided adjustments; it is not a chair without responsive control.

During your comparison, ask the team to demonstrate the scan, show the available adjustments, and let you change the intensity yourself. Judge whether the recommended session feels comfortable and whether the controls make sense to you. The “AI” label alone cannot answer those questions.

2. Try knee heat and recline as separate preferences

MAN2 lists knee heat alongside its heated rollers and adds a zero-gravity feature. Decide whether you enjoy each function independently rather than judging a long feature list as a single package.

Try a comfortable setting first. If heat or a particular reclined position is not something you expect to use, give it less weight in your decision. If either is a strong preference, ask for a focused demonstration before comparing the rest of the program.

3. More course combinations, with the same session lengths

These totals count course-and-duration combinations. They do not mean 12 versus 18 unrelated massage techniques. Choose the sessions you are most likely to use, and compare those directly.

4. Measure the room and verify body fit

Do not transfer MAN1’s user-fit limits to MAN2. Measure doorways, turns, stairs and the intended chair position. Leave room to enter and exit, and ask the delivery team to confirm the route. The reclined chair dimensions are not a complete installation plan.

Which Panasonic should you shortlist?

Warranty and delivery: compare the written terms

Healing Touch offers an optional warranty extension to five years total for both models. Ask for the included manufacturer warranty, the extension price, hours-of-use conditions, parts and labor coverage, and in-home service terms in writing.

Also confirm your delivery method, setup responsibilities, access requirements and return policy. A distributor’s delivery estimate or promotional policy is not automatically the policy for your Healing Touch order.
